I am obsessed with Chicken Cordon Bleu. I also love grilled cheese so this is my dream dish. This is such an easy and tasty sandwich recipe!
I start by placing olive oil and minced garlic in a medium-large sized skillet over low-medium heat. When oil shimmers, I place the buttered bread in and start my grilled cheeses!
Layers upon layers of goodness and gooey cheese!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Grilled Cheese
Step up your sandwich game with a tasty twist on this classic dish! Shredded chicken, creamy melted baby Swiss, and prosciutto between savory, crusty bread. Perfect for lunch OR dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 6 oz proscuitto
- 4 slices artisan bread
- 1 tbsp thyme leaves
- 8 slices baby swiss
- Mayo or Dijon Mustard (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Heat olive oil and garlic over low-medium heat in a skillet.2. Shred chicken and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. 3. Butter four slices of bread. Place two slices (butter side down) in the skillet and layer with baby swiss, prosciutto, baby swiss and then chicken. Optional: Place a thin layer of mayo (or dijon mustard) over and then top with another slice of bread (butter side up). Flip over to brown other side. Remove from skillet and cut in half. Sprinkle with fresh tyhme leaves.
