Chili Lime Steak Bites
These steak bites are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and citrusy. Hot, tangy and packs a punch with flavor. Requires just a few minutes of prep and cooking time. The perfect main course or appetizer for a summer night!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, trimmed of fat and cut into chunks
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1-3 tbsp chili paste
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 medium limes, zested and juiced
Instructions
- 1. Place the steak bites into a mixing bowl and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Evenly coat all the meat. 2. Next, add chili paste and honey. Stir until coated.3. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat pan. Add the steak bites in a single layer and listen for the sizzle. 4. Sear on each side for 1-2 minutes (at least). Use a pair of tongs to flip over. Sear for another 1-2 minutes. Add the lime zest and juice over the meat and stir to combine. Pour any extra lime sauce over the meat. Serve warm. Enjoy!
