Melt butter and marshmallows in a microwave safe glass bowl in 30 second increments. Stir well.
Add the vanilla extract and food coloring. Give it a few quick stirs. Add cereal gradually until all is evenly coated and well combined.
Pour mixture in a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Flatten evenly with a greased spatula and place in the refridgerator to chill for at least one hour.
Once chilled, use a biscuit cutter or other circular cookie cutter to make shapes. Set on a plate. Place a dot of frosting on the back of the candy eyes and place. Then, draw the beak and talons with frosting. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy and have fun!
