Let’s start here: What the heck is a strata? It’s basically an egg and bread casserole-with lots of bread. You can pretty much label it is a savory bread pudding. Why do we like strata?
- Lots of bread.
- You can make ahead. And it’s ridiculously easy.
- You can add whatever ingredients you want or have on hand.
Don’t feel like using the crockpot? Make it in a nonstick dish and cook in the oven for 70 minutes at 350 degrees. Refrigerate overnight prior.
