Slow Cooker Ham & Gruyere Strata

A perfect breakfast variation that is both tasty and incredibly easy. It’s a slow cooker dump and ditch recipe-the best kind.

Let’s start here: What the heck is a strata? It’s basically an egg and bread casserole-with lots of bread. You can pretty much label it is a savory bread pudding. Why do we like strata?

  1. Lots of bread.
  2. You can make ahead. And it’s ridiculously easy.
  3. You can add whatever ingredients you want or have on hand.
Don’t feel like using the crockpot? Make it in a nonstick dish and cook in the oven for 70 minutes at 350 degrees. Refrigerate overnight prior.
