These are so easy to make and such a fun variant in our normal breakfast routine!
Don’t get me started on the milk cereal glaze. Soak the cereal for 15-20 minutes before using a fine sieve to drain.
Funfetti Breakfast Muffins with Milk Cereal Glaze

Ingredients
- 2 cups AP flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups fruity pebbles cereal
Milk Cereal Glaze
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup fruity pebbles (plus more for topping)
- 1⅓ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° and prepare muffin pans with muffin liners.
- Whisk together dry ingredients. Set aside.
- Mix together wet ingredients. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients until well combined and then fold in the fruity pebble cereal.
- Stir ½ cup fruity pebbles into 1 cup milk. Let sit for 15-20 minutes. Then strain the liquid into a bowl using a fine mesh sieve and set aside. Toss the soggy cereal in the garbage. Pour 1/3 cup cereal milk into the powdered sugar. Whisk together well.
- Remove muffins from oven and let cool 10 minutes before drizzling glaze. Best served the day of. Store in an airtight container.
